Remember that energy that we had as kids that enabled us to play tirelessly, sleep like angels and have our wounds and ailments cure rapidly? What happened along the way that made us lose this energy, either partially or fully?  Why is it that most of us accept a life without this vitality and all of the benefits that wellbeing brings, as normal?


The FEEL YOUNGER LONGER Functional Health Retreats are exactly that. Opportunities to call time out on normal life, reset, and go back to your life being able to implement the tools and knowledge acquired on the retreat to have you feeling younger longer.


Most of us lose our zing gradually, from adolescence until your present state.  Many factors contribute to this state of wellbeing, incorrect diet, inadequate exercise routines, stress, alcohol, smoking, poor sleep patterns to name just a few. Each person has their own individual process and that is why FEEL YOUNGER LONGER conducts highly specialized, small group retreats to recognize and focus on each person’s distinct requirements.

 

Our ultimate aim is to guide you to a higher state of health and wellbeing using an in depth process to determine the factors that may be impeding you from feeling that energy & vitality that you deserve.  By gradually introducing what has been missing from your life, while helping you start the process of removing the influences that have been negatively affecting you, optimal results will be obtained. 


While relaxation is an important aspect of a retreat, so too is RESETTING your physical , emotional body and your gut, so that you may return to your life not only relaxed but also energized and enthused to continue on with this process. Our educational workshops are an important part of this process as, as are the scientifically validated therapies that you will experience while you are here. 


Your case is distinct to you! That is why our in depth questionnaire and pre-retreat conversation is so important. We will talk to you about your degree of commitment, what you are prepared to change and not force you to immediately stop certain foods or habits. You will naturally want to do this with time as you start to feel younger and see your health improving, by simple introductions. During the retreat we will individually focus on your specific needs, leaving you empowered with new habits and knowledge necessary to have you feeling younger long

Detoxification

Never before in human history have we been exposed to such high levels of toxins. There are estimated to be around 130,000 chemicals in commercial use and only around 1% have passed through safety testing. We come in contact with toxic substances every day, whether it be through the air we breathe, the water we drink or preservatives in the food we eat to make them look, smell or taste more appealing. Our personal hygiene products, make-up and anything else that we put on our skin has an easy, almost unimpeded entry into our circulation. All of these and many more add to out body’s toxic load, and ideally would be eliminated by our body’s detoxification channels on a daily basis. The problem is that our body was never intentioned to be in such close and constant contact with all of their health disrupting chemicals.


Most health professionals recognize that it simply isn’t possible to eliminate all of the toxins from the body (DETOXIFICATION), so the question is no longer IF we are toxic. The real question is HOW toxic are we?


To support the detoxification process, the body requires a variety of nutrients. If these nutrients are in low supply either through inadequate diet or the foods we eat simply not providing for our body’s needs, then the toxins re-circulate. These fat-soluble toxins can be stored in body tissue such as fat, brain, nervous system and liver, causing symptoms and future disease processes.

When the body fails to properly clear out toxins,

symptoms and impaired detoxification occur. Some examples are:

  • Digestive problems such as constipation, gas and /or bloating

  • Skin rashes

  • Aches and pains

RESTING & RESETING your gut is a very important facet of our detox retreat. Reducing the workload that your digestive system has to perform when you eat 3-5 meals a day, gives your body the chance to eliminate accumulated toxins, strengthen the immune system, reduce inflammation and RESET your body’s physiological process. Your unique situation will be discussed before the retreat and specific dietary recommendations will be made for you to follow before, during and after the retreat.
